BRISTOL AND WARREN ARE ABUZZ ABOUT THE 7TH ANNUAL BODACIOUS BEE FUNDRAISER

Jaffe Orthodontics Is Proud To Be the Presenting Sponsor Of The Bodacious Bee’s 7th Straight Year, and Is Hoping To Exceed The Donations From Last Year’s Event.

Bristol, RI – Jaffe Orthodontics and The Bristol Warren Education Foundation (BWEF) are proud to host the 7th Annual “Bodacious Bee” adult spelling bee and fundraiser on March 7th, 2015. The event is set to take place at the Roger Williams University Field House in Bristol, Rhode Island. The theme for this year’s event is “Bee Inspired! An Evening of Arts and Innovation.”

“We are so proud to once again be the presenting sponsor of the Bodacious Bee.” Dr. Jordan Jaffe said of his office’s continued involvement with the Bodacious Bee. “Over the course of our relationship, the Bristol Warren Education Foundation has grown by leaps and bounds, and we are so impressed by the opportunities they have afforded local students by enhancing their education through the grants they provide.  It continues to be our pleasure to work with such an outstanding organization, as well as the leaders who make it possible.”

Jaffe Orthodontics joined forces with the BWEF for the 7th year in a row to continue their efforts to improve the communities of Bristol and Warren, Rhode Island. All funds raised from the Bodacious Bee event go toward supporting the enrichment of students’ lives in the Bristol Warren Regional School District, a long-standing goal of Jaffe Orthodontics and the BWEF. The Bodacious Bee fundraiser helps the BWEF provide funding and support for innovative school programs that improve the educational experience of students, including things such as science fairs, recycling programs, and other unique learning opportunities.

The theme for the event this year is focused on arts and innovation, in a time when enriching art programs are disappearing from schools across the country. Studies have shown that participating in the arts has a large impact on a student’s attitude and success in school. An experiment conducted by UCLA involving 25,000 students in middle and high school showed that students with higher levels of involvement in arts performed better on standardized tests when compared to students with little to no art education. A compendium of studies titled Critical Links documents more than 65 demonstrated relationships between art education and the development of essential academic and social skills. That’s why Jaffe Orthodontics and the BWEF work to ensure that kids have the opportunity to participate in the arts by support programs that would normally be considered “out of scope” for the budget of local schools.

The 7th Annual Bodacious Bee will begin with drinks and entertainment followed by dinner and the spelling bee. Join Jaffe Orthodontics, the BWEF, and the rest of the Warren and Bristol communities for a night of food, fun, and support for an invaluable cause.
