Check Out Our New i-CAT Digital Imaging Machine!

At Jaffe Orthodontics, we believe that orthodontic treatment should be convenient, and we are committed to utilizing the latest in cutting edge orthodontic technology to help keep your treatments as safe, fast, and effective as possible. That is why we are excited to announce our new i-CAT Cone Beam 3D dental imaging machine, an exciting new scanner that will help us provide faster, more effective treatments. This is a huge step in state-of-the-art technology and treatment procedure, and it will make one of the more time-consuming parts of getting fitted for braces as easy as opening your mouth.

Put Away The Putty

Before the i-CAT, we would need to take impressions to plan your treatment. That meant that we needed to fill two trays with soft, gummy dental putty, then have you bite into them and hold them in place for about 10 minutes. Patients told us the process was uncomfortable, as the putty tends to go everywhere inside your mouth and does not have the most pleasant taste or texture. With i-CAT, though, impressions are effortless. We simply wave a small imaging wand around the inside of your mouth, then i-CAT’s advanced imaging algorithms use the data to construct a fully-realized 3D computer model of your mouth.

In addition to being more convenient, i-CAT also lets us make your treatment safer and more effective. Digital models are much more revealing than the physical representations we make with impressions, and having a computer model that we can manipulate on the screen allows us to plan your treatment in more detail than ever before. i-CAT will have you smiling for more reasons than one!
